Test Rig (Chair back rest testing mechanism)

As part of the second year report I was assigned to design the mechanism to check the durability of back rest when the certain amount of force is applied at back rest.

Hand drawn sketches were drawn to understand the concept for the mechanism and choose the best design in terms of design, cost, reliability and safety aspect.

After the detail research and using concept matrix each design was rated and the best design was selected in terms of it reliability, cost, mechanism, and safety. Considering all these detail analysis the actuator mechanism was taken to the next stage where the design using solid work was made.
